Stryktipset got football fans ready with iconic haircuts.
As one of our first campaigns for Svenska Spel and Stryktipset, we are proud to present Premier Haircuts.
The Premier League and the English culture have always been important to Swedish football fans. Every Saturday at 16:00, thousands of Swedes watch and bet on the weekend's round of matches. Therefore, in connection with the premiere on the 12th of August, we opened up three hairdressing salons around the country. At each salon Swedish fans could get their hair cut into iconic hairstyles associated with the English football culture.
– With Stryktipset, we’re taking Swedes on a trip to England and English football culture. We want to pay tribute to the fans interest in everything English but also help them prepare for the season in the best possible way, says Monica Sandström, Communications Manager for pool games at Svenska Spel.
The Premier Haircut salons, were located in existing hair salons in Stockholm, Motala and Trelleborg, some of the cities where the highest number of “Stryktippare” lives. All salons offered the same five hairstyles: The Pob, The Best, The Pog, The Mod and The Lad, inspired by the English football culture and some of Premier League's most iconic players throughout the ages. The salons were open between 10am and 3am and all haircuts were free of charge.
– It's really exciting to get started. The concept is a natural development of - This is Swengland - where we provide our fans with additional tools to accompany us on the journey and strengthen the ties to English football culture, says Klas Lusth executive creative director at Perfect Fools.
