Converse: Canvas Experiment

480 Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars: 4 meters high, 5 meters wide, 400kg of canvas, rubber, and wire. This is The Canvas Experiment.

Canvas, the digital screen built out of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars, spread its wings both online and at live events in many European cities including Berlin, Paris, Milano, Barcelona, Manchester and more. Although Canvas is a physical installation its true success was as a social phenomenon. An integrated plan of social elements – including films and more – tying into the Canvas Experiment, generated over 800,000 new Converse fans on Facebook, while the installation achieved a 50% sales increase for the brand in stores where it appeared.
