Not enough that our latest creation Kauko, the Internet-controlled café, is featured by both Creativity and AdAge today – it also appeared on the BBC News this past weekend. You can view the clip here.
Kauko is an initiative that lets people explore the importance of design. At youdesign.fi you can control furniture, service and atmosphere in the café, and then watch visitors react via multiple live-streaming cameras. You’ll quickly see what they like – and what they don’t. Perfect Fools and Hasan & Partners hope it all inspires new ideas about how to improve design in Helsinki, World Design Capital 2012.

Today’s Guardian newspaper (UK) includes an article titled “Digital technology and social networking breathe new life into advertising” (MediaGuardian section, page 5). The article features the recent PF-produced Dazzle the Rainbow social effort for Skittles, along with some salient quotes about conversational marketing from our very own CEO, Patrick Gardner. Leading advertising journal Creativity has published its annual ranking of top production companies worldwide and Perfect Fools is once again listed. According to Creativity PF is one of seven “digital shops that have helped to reshape the production industry”.

Australian Creative magazine filled its February/March issue with articles on today’s best interactive design, and aptly named it The Interactive Issue.
Perfect Fools is featured in a piece on Swedish creativity and why it is so successful. According to the author one reason is a natural urge to break the mould and change the game. Just the way we roll!
