Electrolux chooses Perfect Fools

Global appliance giant Electrolux has named Stockholm- and New York-based Perfect Fools as its creative web production company of record.

The initial one-year agreement spans all Electrolux markets in Europe and covers the group’s full range of brands including Electrolux, AEG-Electrolux and Zanussi-Electrolux. Klaus Salminen, VP Group Web Communication for Electrolux, says:

“We’ve worked with Perfect Fools for almost two years on a wide range of online campaigns. They have consistently delivered the best results. And as a result of that we have now decided to move the lead for all of our online production to them. What’s good about Perfect Fools is they deliver highly creative production ideas and great execution.”

Mats Ohlsson joins as CEO

Mats Ohlsson, one of the early pioneers of the Swedish digital industry, joins Perfect Fools as operative CEO from October 8, 2007.

Ohlsson, who co-founded Reference Interactive in 1995, comes to Perfect Fools most recently from e-learning developer Involve Learning, where he was CEO from 2005. Ohlsson will serve as group CEO at Perfect Fools, overseeing operations at the company’s offices in New York as well as Stockholm.

1st Annual Digital Crayfish Party

Two parts crayfish, one part snaps, and a big slosh of digital creativity. It’s our recipe for the 1st Annual Digital Crayfish Party, hosted by Perfect Fools on September 7 together with the Advertising Association of Sweden and MSN.

This event gathered 65 leaders from across the Swedish digital industry for a relaxed day of open conversation — digital agencies, “traditional” agencies, key industry organizations and press. We hope it will be the kickoff for many happy years to come.

The Digital Crayfish Party was inspired by Phil Jones’ yearly Digital Podge in London. Read more about it here (Swedish).

New producer Sofia Grunden

Sofia Grundén is one of Sweden’s most experienced digital producers, with a career stretching from Starring through DDB/The Bearded Lady, Nöjesguiden and back to online community Dobedo.com.

And now she’s a fool — a fact that we’re understandably mighty excited about. Welcome Sofia!

Cannes Lion to Saab Pilots Wanted

Following up on a silver at New York Festivals, Perfect Fools’ production Saab Pilots Wanted claimed a bronze lion at this year’s Cannes International Advertising Festival. PF was also shortlisted for RFSU Love Support.

Saab gets silver at Guldägget

60 Years of Turbocharged Thinking” earned a silver at this year’s Swedish Guldägget awards.

Altogether Perfect Fools productions accounted for two out of a total seven interactive finalists, which is a pretty heady group when you consider Swedish agencies usually earn more than twenty shortlists at Cannes each year for their digital work. Awesome!
